School Closures

Council Elections – 4th May 2017

General Election – 8th June 2017

You will be aware that the Prime Minister, Theresa May, has called a General Election to be held on 8th June 2017.  This means that as well as the school being closed for the Council Elections on the 4th May the school will be closed on Thursday 8th June as we are being used as a Polling Station.

The June closure will not affect P7 pupils who will be attending their Transition Sessions at the High School.

I apologise for the inconvenience this will cause.

Midlothian Schools Donations

McQueen Legal are established solicitors and estate agents with offices in Gorebridge, Bruntsfield and Chesser and we would love to support the local nursery, primary and secondary schools run by Midlothian Council. For each completed transaction undertaken by McQueen Legal, we will donate £25 to the school nominated by a parent / client. These transactions can be:
  • estate agency and conveyancing for a sale of a property
  • conveyancing for the purchase of a property
  • joint sale and purchase as above
  • family protection pack (Wills, Power of Attorney and Advance Directives).
The offer is open to any person introduced to McQueen Legal and producing a voucher (which is on our website) nominating a Midlothian School – it is not restricted to parents of children at the school but can include grandparents and other relatives / friends.
